Day 59: Old Car Stereo

This was from the Sonoma we sold a few weeks ago. When G bought the truck, he took the Kenwood out of my old Ford Escort and gave me a better stereo -- I think it was the brand that starts with A, although the only words I'm coming up with are Aida and Audi. Aiwa?

Anyway, we're getting rid of the stereo, so if we ever get the urge to listen to Aerosmith's "Big Ones" on cassette*, we're S.O.L.

DESTINATION: You know, I'm not sure. G got rid of it. Outdated electronics are on Goodwill's "do not donate" list, so maybe he'll comment with its fate.

* Might seem like a random example, but I really played this tape a lot. And yes, I still own it, though I have a feeling some tapes will make an appearance on here in a couple hundred days.

Oh man! Aiwa!? You get one point for naming a stereo manufacturer, but minus 7 for confusing AIWA with Alpine. UGH. I'm an awesome husband and I wanted you to have MP3 capability and an IPOD hook up during your ridiculously long commute.

1) If we throw something away on Thursday but don't get a chance to post until Friday, it counts.

2) If we get rid of a few things at once, we can post them one at a time over the next few days. It's our stuff and we want to give it a proper send-off. Besides, we can't tell craigslisters, "Can you come tomorrow instead? We're all blogged-out today."

3) Sometimes we'll throw a pile of crap out and count it as five days' worth. Sometimes we'll throw a pile of crap out and call it one day. Both are fine, because we make the rules.
